SERVICETOOL ATLAS

Editorial policy

How ServiceTool Atlas sources research, separates claims from evidence, and handles verification and corrections.

Effective October 26, 2026

Evidence before recommendations

We begin with primary sources such as vendor documentation and official help pages. Articles identify their sources, review dates, and important limits. Vendor descriptions are attributed as vendor claims; they are not proof of performance.

What our research labels mean

  • Vendor documented: a cited vendor page describes the capability. Plan inclusion and real-world behavior can still need confirmation.
  • Requires verification: evidence is missing, incomplete, or insufficient for the proposed claim. Readers should confirm it before buying.
  • Hands-on tested: reserved for a documented evaluation with an identified method, date, version, and scope. None of our launch articles claim this status.

Comparison method

Define the intended business and workflow, apply the same questions to each product, document trade-offs, and disclose gaps. Coverage may include research templates and completed desk-research comparisons. Each article identifies its status. A comparison may offer a conditional recommendation with supporting evidence; this is not a claim to rank the entire market or to have performed hands-on testing.

Pricing and commercial claims

Verify prices against a dated official source or written quote. Record currency, billing term, seats, add-ons, and relevant fees. Until verified, label the claim accordingly. We do not invent savings, customer experiences, ratings, or commission arrangements.

Editorial independence

Commercial relationships must not determine our editorial conclusions. No affiliate links are currently published. Any future affiliate arrangement must receive approval and be disclosed near affected recommendations as well as on the disclosure page.

Updates and corrections

Review material changes against primary sources and update the article’s review date when research changes. Readers can report an error through Contact with the page URL, disputed text, and supporting source. Material corrections should be explained on the affected page.
